The Lyndon House Arts Center, located on the edge of downtown, combines the past with the present, much like Athens itself. The centerpiece is the Ware-Lyndon House (1856), a late Greek Revival home with Italianate influence. Then, Athens-Clarke County expanded the complex to include an adjoining modern art gallery, children’s wing, festival ground, and studios for art classes.
