Embark on a captivating journey through Milledgeville’s historic district aboard the renowned “Milly the Trolley.” This sixty-minute, fully narrated tour showcases the city’s grand architecture, beautiful squares, and historic neighborhoods, offering a comprehensive overview of its history during the sixty-eight years it served as Georgia’s capital. Guests will enjoy a guided walk through the former statehouse square and St. Stephens Episcopal Church, consecrated in 1843, in addition to touring the historic district via the trolley. Tours take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 10 a.m., departing from the Milledgeville Visitor Information Center, regardless of weather conditions. Tickets, priced at $12 per person, are encouraged to be pre-purchased either in person or by calling 478-452-4687. While the trolley is ADA compliant, individuals considering disembarking at the statehouse square and St. Stephens Episcopal Church are advised to have moderate mobility.
